The build
This one was built with named parts, not whatever was cheapest that week. An unlocked 9600K on an MSI Z390 Gaming Plus, a Cooler Master cooler instead of the stock fan, Crucial Ballistix memory, and a Super Flower 80+ Platinum PSU.
The ASUS Dual 1080 still has 8GB of VRAM, which is what keeps it relevant for 1080p and 1440p. Storage is the headline besides the GPU: over four terabytes across a Samsung 860 QVO, a Samsung 860 EVO, and two HDDs in a dedicated cage — games, recordings, and a media library without shuffling files off to an external.
